Ice Age National Scenic Trail

DISTANCE AWAY:  15 MILES

The Ice Age Trail system is the Midwest’s equivalent to the Appalachian Trail back East and the Continental Divide Trail out West.  A great group of volunteers helps maintain this 1,000 mile trail system and a great interactive website so you can plan your trip–whether your hiking solo or want to join a group of like minded people.  Luckily, a portion of this trail is located next to Devil’s Lake State Park so you can check off two items on your Wisconsin vacation bucket list in one location!
